Auction House "Bibliomania", founded by passionate lovers of Russian literature and art, began its activities as an online platform for the sale of ancient books back in 2009. Now we have experienced philologists and connoisseurs of antique publications in our cozy book salon. We carry out commission and sale at auctions of old books, periodicals and autographs. You can also purchase publications from our collection to replenish your library or gift.
The Auction House is located in the very center of St. Petersburg - in the famous historical mansion of Count G. A. Kushelev-Bezborodko on Gagarinskaya Street, a stone's throw from the Summer Garden. It is known that the famous mystic Count Cagliostro settled in one of the apartments of the house at the end of the 18th century. The “Golden Time” of the mansion is associated with the name of Alexander Grigoryevich, the first count Kushelev-Bezborodko (1803-1855), state controller, philanthropist and philanthropist, as well as with the names of his sons. In the mansion, the count housed his richest collection of paintings and a library, inherited from other wealth and treasures from His Excellency Prince Alexander Andreevich Bezborodko, a nobleman and statesman of the times of Catherine II and Paul I. The collection was open to public access. The Kushelev-Bezborodko House was one of the centers of the cultural life of the capital. After the revolution, in 1924 Sergey Yesenin lived here, and in the 1920s the “Factory of an Eccentric Actor” worked in the house, founded by directors G. M. Kozintsev and L. Z. Trauberg. Our activity continues the historical and cultural traditions of great ancestors
