Amy R. Stein (American, Santa Fe, active artist) lithograph on paper, The Angel, depicting a young Apache woman who probably lived in the early 1900s. She is having two ovals behind her shoulders. Firstly, the artist wanted to depict the portraits of grandmother and grandfather behind the girl's back, but when she painted the ovals, noticed that it reminded the angel's wings and the artwork takes on several meanings. Numbered 1981 of 2000 and signed lower left. Titled lower right. Framed.
