Rare Russian poster of the First World War "Russian hero non-commissioned officer Porfiry Panasyuk, " color lithograph on paper. Artist Stephan Matveyevich Mukharsky. Moscow, the lithograph of I.D. Sytin, 1915. A story about the feat of Porfiry Panasyuk is printed under the image. Signed in the print lower right.Senior non-commissioned officer Porfiry Gerasimovich Panasyuk was taken prisoner by the Germans during the First World War and tortured for refusing to provide information about the location of Russian troops.
