SILVER MALTESE JERUSALEM CRUSADERS CROSS PENDANT - A silver pendant for a necklace in the form of the Maltese Jerusalem crusaders cross with a red faceted stone in the center. Hallmarked Bethlehem and 800 silver proof mark on verso. The Jerusalem cross was a heraldic Christian cross consisting of a large cross potent surrounded by four smaller Greek crosslets, one in each quadrant. It was used as the emblem and coat of arms of the Kingdom of Jerusalem from the 1280s representing each quarter the proper Jerusalem Kingdom, The Principality of Antioch, The County of Edessa, and the County of Tripoli.
