19TH C INDIAN HAND EMBROIDERED KASHMIR PAISLEY SHAWL
An antique Indian Kashmir wool textile shawl. The shawl is adorned with a hand embroidered central motif featuring floral and foliage patterns surrounded by a classic paisley pattern on the red ground, a hallmark of traditional Kashmiri craftsmanship. The borders are decorated with rectangular shaped medallions featuring a hand embroidered foliage ornament. Dates to the late 19th century.
