A Central African Fang people Byeri reliquary figure from Gabon. The piece is a byeri, the representation of an ancestor used in worship ceremonies. This figurine represents a small male figure with exaggerated physical features, adorned with brass decorations and mounted on a wooden stand. The intricately carved features, elaborate decorations, and unique design of the Byeri figure reflect the artistic mastery and creativity of the Fang people.
