JOHN LENNON PORTRAIT LITHOGRAPH BY IGOR TULPANOV
Igor Tulpanov, Russian, American, born 1939, lithograph on paper depicting a Surreal portrait of John Lennon, Here There and Everywhere, 1984. Signed with a monogram, dated 84, and inscribed, N.Y.C. in the print, lower right. Inscribed in the print, John Lennon, lower left. Mounted on board. Igor Tulipanov was born in Leningrad, USSR. He has been living in the USA since 1979. Tiulpanov employs Surrealist imagery in his paintings, incorporating stylistic elements from Leonardo da Vinci, Hieronymus Bosch, and Jan van Eyck. Igor Tulipanov is influenced by and sometimes incorporates whole scenes from Hieronymus Bosch in his paintings. The symbols Tulipanov uses, various statues of pagan gods, spectacles, books, tears, eggs, mirrors pass from painting to painting. His paintings are exhibited in private collections and museums of the US, Russia, Japan, Argentina, and other countries.
