Also included is a first day of issue cover with a cachet commemorating space scientist James Alfred Van Allen, known for discovering the Van Allen radiation belts, and a picture of Mary Lou Retton, the celebrated 1984 Olympic gymnast, accompanied by her autographed portrait photo.
