PERSIAN QAJAR PERIOD IRON PLATE W POLO GAME SCENE
An antique Persian, Qajar Period iron plate decorated with chasing and engraving. In the center, the plate is decorated with a scene with horsemen playing polo in front of the palace. The game of polo has been known in Persia since ancient times and is a traditional pictorial motive. The border of the plate is decorated with floral ornaments and cartouches with views of various architectural monuments. Antique Middle Eastern Persian Plates, Vases, Home Decor, and Collectibles.
