CHINESE FU LU SHOU PLASTIC STATUE ON WOOD STAND
A vintage Chinese Fu Lu Shou plastic statue representing Elder Lu Sin with a child in his arms, the god of Prosperity, Abundance and procreation. Traditionally associated with the first star of the Ursa Major constellation in ancient Chinese astronomy. He is the god of prosperity and a symbol of career success, one of the three main Chinese gods. As a rule, he holds a boy in his hands or on his shoulder, which symbolizes the blessing of having children. Fu Lu Shou, or the Sanxing, Three Stars, are gods of the three celestial bodies Jupiter, Mizar and Canopus, and the three characteristics of good fortune Fu, status Lu and longevity Shou in Chinese folk beliefs.
