LOT OF FASHION SKETCHES MIXED MEDIA BY BONAVITACOLA
A collection of ten mixed media paintings on paper representing fashion sketches for Bonavitacola Couture representing female evening and cocktail dresses and costumes. Several are inscribed, Bonavitacola, lower left. One sketch is inscribed, Jeweled matte jersey slink with satin stole and bow, lower right. Fashion designer Kenny Bonavitacolas career began in 1975, when immediately upon graduating with honors from FIT, he apprenticed with master tailor Piero Dimitri and learned the art of bespoke craftsmanship. He then joined Giorgio di Sant Angelo as director of licensed products, executing sportswear, lingerie, dresses, swimwear, and accessories. In 1978, Bonavitacola launched his signature label, which became synonymous with quality and classic design. His designs garnered three Womens Wear Daily covers and appeared on the pages of Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, and Town and Country, among many other publications.
