RUSSIAN MIXED MEDIA PAINTING BY BORIS GRIGORIEV
Boris Dmitrievich Grigoriev, Russian, American, 1886 to 1939, a mixed media, gouache and tempera on canvas, depicting a woodland scene with animals and female nudes. Circa: 1912. Provenance: Ripley Auctions, Live Great Estates Art and Antiques Auction, December 14, 2024, lot 41. Boris Grigoriev is known for Portrait, figure and genre painting, graphics. He began exhibiting his work in 1909 as a member of Union of Impressionists group, and became a member of the World of Art movement in 1913. At that time he also was interesting in literature, writing novel Young Rays. Russian Fine Art, Genre Scene Paintings, and Collectibles. One of a kind artwork.
