Commissioned and published by UNESCO in Paris to commemorate the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the poster was printed by Arte Adrien Maeght, Paris. Joan Miro was a Catalan painter, sculptor and ceramist. A museum dedicated to his work, the Fundacio Joan Miro, was established in his native city of Barcelona in 1975. Provenance: a well-preserved time capsule within the prestigious Decoration and Design Building in New York City, a landmark trade hub celebrated among top interior designers.
