ANTIQUE RUSSIAN ICON OF ST NICHOLAS IN SILVER OKLAD - An antique Russian Orthodox icon of Saint Nicholas. A mixed media painting: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wooden board with kovcheg. Inscribed in Church Slavonic, lower right and left. The icon is overlaid with an 84 gilded Silver oklad or riza, adorned with chased and engraved detailed patterns.
