Jesus Christ and the Mother of God are depicted to the left and right of the saint. Egg tempera on silver leaf, on a wood panel. Finely executed in great detail on a gold ground. Two splits on the back (both missing). Saint Nicholas also called Nikolaos of Myra, was a historic 4th-century Christian saint and Greek Bishop of Myra, in Asia Minor.
