Information:
Rudolf Nureyev (1938-1993) - ballet dancer, choreographer, soloist of the Leningrad Opera and Ballet Theater named after Kirov, head of the ballet troupe of the Paris Opera (1983-1989). The Prodigal Son is a one act ballet created for Diaghilev's Ballets Russes by George Balanchine to music by Sergei Prokofiev (1928–29). The Prodigal Son was the last production in the final season of the Dyagilev troupe. Subsequently The Prodigal Son was repeatedly staged by other choreographers.
