Kazarin V. - Bird.. XX century Canvas, oil. Kazarin V.S. is the founder of Russian neo-expressionism and post-suprematism. He studied at the art department of the Pedagogical Institute. Since 1976, a member of the Moscow Trade Union of Graphic Artists and a regular participant in famous exhibitions on Malaya Gruzinskaya. In 1991, a huge retrospective exhibition was held at the Moscow Manege, where more than six hundred of his canvases were presented. Since that time, the artist has been called the father of Russian neo-expressionism, speaking of him as a new phenomenon in art. With the beginning of “perestroika”, in the first half of the 1990s, Kazarin assembled a group of his students, named “Hammer” in honor of the intended effect, and already exhibited with it at the Manege and other venues. However, the artist gradually withdraws more and more from communications with the artistic environment, finding solitude in the village of Ferapontovo, Vologda region. Exhibition personal projects are becoming a rare occurrence in his life, despite his unrelenting creative search. We can say that Kazarin goes into internal emigration, immersing his creative attention in the images of ordinary villagers and nature. Deliberately distancing himself from the current events of city life, the artist strives to gain true freedom of spirit. His works become more lyrical, and his temperament and psychological power seem to deliberately dissolve, going to another plane. In this conscious softness and transparency, the artist strives to overcome bodily instinctivity, freeing himself from its bonds towards lightness and final freedom. His painting is devoid of abstruse literary tricks and ironic play; It would seem that everything is very simple and at the same time it is always an explosion of deep subconscious experiences. The colors and lines of his canvases are a direct and precisely calibrated psychophysiological effect, drawing the viewer into the depths of his own nature.
