Bom-Grigorieva N. S. - Bouquet of bird cherry.. 36 by 54 cm.  Graphics, still life Paper, watercolor, gouache, whitewash.  Sergeevna Bom-Grigorieva (1884-1974) - Russian and Soviet artist, graphic artist, painter. Her works are included in the collections of many museums in Russia and the CIS. She was an honorary member of the Moscow ex-librist club. Born into a noble family. She studied in Moscow in private studios with Vasily Polenov, Vladimir Rossinsky and Emilia Fallis. In the 1920s she studied at VKhUTEMAS with Pyotr Konchalovsky. Since 1916 she participated in exhibitions. Member and exhibitor of the associations ”Modern Painting” (1916-1917), ”Moscow Salon” (1917-1920), ”Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions” (1917-1923), the Moscow Association of Artists (1924), the Association of Graphic Artists (1926- 1928), the group ”22 Artists” (1927), the Society of Artists named after I. E. Repin, AHRR. Since 1924, she began to engage in etching under the guidance of Matvey Alekseevich Dobrov. In the 1930s, she completed the only bookplate in her name and never returned to book signs. Subsequently, in the 1940s, all Bom-Grigorieva's book signs were acquired by the famous collector Sergei Petrovich Fortinsky. During her studies, she created a series of watercolors with antique bas-reliefs. In the late 30s, the artist created a series of ”Crimean Landscapes”. In 1938, in Moscow, together with her husband, she participated in the exhibition of paintings by polar explorers ”Arctic”, organized to popularize the Soviet North.
