RAF13c 54 Sqn Sopwith Cover Signed Sir Thomas Sopwith. Designer. 14 Jul 73 BFPS 1402 25th Anniversary of the first crossing of Atlantic by Jet Aircraft. Cover depicts a Sopwith Pup of No 54 Squadron in 1917. Blue flown cachet flown in Sopwith Pup N 5180 from Old Warden Airfield. Personally Signed by Sir Thomas Sopwith designer of the Sopwith Pub and again during the 1939 to 1945 head of a large organisation producing many of Britains fighting aircraft including the famous Hurricane and the Typhoon.
