Treatise containing the rules of conduct during meals, with a chapter on the divine meal of the righteous, entirely composed in two-column Hebrew characters. Bechaye (or Bahya) ben Asher (ca. 1255-1340), rabbi and erudite historian of Judaism, born in Zaragoza, was known for introducing Kabbalah into the study of the Torah. The Venetian printer and publisher Marco Antonio Giustiniani (fl. 16th century) specialized in publishing texts from Judaism. Very clean copy, with small annotation in Hebrew, in the upper margin of the title page. Non-contemporary binding, with leather spine. Moritz Steinschneider, 4525, coll. 779, 16.
