Titled "Girl (Barbie) with a Bear" by Alexander Zakharov, a Russian-American-German artist.
The girl represents the US and the bear represents Russia. The Barby is in loves the Bear and plays with him. This watercolor is part of a larger series of "Barbies", where the pop symbols of America were used by the artist.
Provenance: This watercolor was purchased from the Mimi Firzt Gallery in the early 2000s and the gallery had purchased the work directly from the artist.
Dated on the lower left, inscribed in Russian on verso. Framed.
