A MINIATURE GILT-BRONZE-MOUNTED HINGED AGATE BOX, 19TH CEN.
A miniature, lidded box constructed of thin panes of polished agate and framed with gilt-bronze repoussé mounts. The box is set atop four balls of agate connected via gilt pegs. The lid of the piece is nicely beveled and the hinges function well.
Continental Europe, 19th Century.
