A RUSSIAN PORCELAIN BABIGON SERVICE VERRIERE BOWL, CA 1830
A Russian porcelain verriere bowl of the Babigon Service, circa 1830, similar to one in the Texas Governor’s Mansion Collection.
The Babigon service is a Russian Imperial porcelain dinner service created in 1824 for Emperor Alexander I and used by the Russian royal family for ceremonial receptions. It was manufactured by the Imperial Porcelain Factory in St. Petersburg.
