A RUSSIAN PORCELAIN FIGURE
Gardner Factory, 19th century.
Titled "A man with a hunk of bread, " from the famous series "Pictures of People's Lives." Depicting a man in a coat, sitting on a wooden block, with his shoes and a hat next to him, sprinkling salt on a piece of bread. The figurine is highly detailed and neatly painted.
Marked on the base with a Gardner Factory stamp in red ink, incised factory mark and a handwritten number "125."
