A PAIR OF PORCELAIN PLATES FROM THE SERVICE OF GRAND DUKE ANDREY VLADIMIROVICH
KPM, 2nd half 19th century.
The top of each plate decorated by a cartouche with Cyrillic letters "A.V." in ciselé gilt surmounted by an Imperial crown. The borders are painted with brightly-colored interlaced floral ornament in grisaille and ciselé gilt heightened with blue and set against a ground of iron red, black, and green, the cavetto bordered with a row of blue beads outlined in gilt and with a gilt band, gilt-scalloped rim.
Blue underglaze KPM marks, incised III, impressed X.
