A SIGNED ABSTRACT CARVED WOOD SCULPTURE OF A NUDE WOMAN
An abstract, almost minimalist carved wood statuette of a nude woman with arms up holding her hair as a canopy, a frequent gesture associated with a water nymph in classical sculpture. Signed at the base 'Salud'. A piece from a Spanish-based artist only recognized today by the pseudonym used as signature in this artwork.
Circa 1950s. Made out of a single piece of wood.
