AN ART NOUVEAU SILVER AND PORCELAIN VASE WITH POPPY FLOWERS AND FEMALE PORTRAIT, HALLMARKED
An antique Art Nouveau Vase with poppy flowers and a female bust portrait dated as early 1900s and possibly manufactured in France. The piece's core is made of porcelain, covered with an external overlay of fine silver. The vase has several hallmarks of difficult reading, however, the word sterling is clear, and a lower placed geometric hallmark seems to be the French Minerva. On one side of the vase, has an etched monogram of letters M and D. The poppy vine serves as a handle, and the upper mouth is a figural flower. Rich in details and overall in very good condition.
