A JAN DE WINTER, DUTCH, SIGNED LIMITED EDITION LITHOGRAPH PRINT, 1972
Jan De Winter (Dutch, 1936 - 2020), a limited edition lithograph on paper, signed in pencil lower right "eigen druk - Jan de Winter" and dated 1972. Numbered on the lower left, 23/36. Jan De Winter was a painter, draftsman, graphic artist, cartoonist, scenographer and costume designer. As a cartoonist he worked under the pseudonym Duncan. He was trained as a woodcarver at the Academy of Visual Arts in Mechelen (from 1966) and at the Higher Institute in Antwerp under A. Zarina. He was a teacher of observational drawing, color and design in Molenbeek.
