She learns that he is to play 'Cardboard Lover' in London, and offers to introduce him to friends of hers who 'could be pleasant and useful to [him]'.

- a letter from ? to Paul Pléneau (Nice 20 March 1938) concerning Katia's burial in Nice at the Russian cemetery of Caucade (with a drawing of the tomb).
A set about the film 'Katia' the day after its triumphant premiere in London and the memories of the eponymous Empress: 'London gave our little heroine the same welcome as Paris'. In every interview, she mentioned her name and 'the generous gift you gave me of Katia's medallion'. She was due back in Bucharest to welcome Georges Huisman. She expects to be back before Christmas and will invite him to the Quai de Bourbon with her treasures 'to show them to the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, who are very keen to see the souvenirs that belonged to Katia. She has received a letter from Mr Armand Hammer, who was delighted to read 'Katia', and who says that he has in his collection some of Alexander II's 'mementos', sold in Paris in 1831. He would like to offer them photos of the objects in his possession and to add his photos to hers for a future edition of 'Katia'.

Marthe Lucie Lahovary, Princess Bibesco by marriage, also known by the pseudonym Lucile Decaux, is a French woman of letters of Romanian origin.

Prince George-Valentin Bibesco (1880-1941), from one of Romania's wealthiest families, was a pioneer of aviation and the motor car.

Jacques Boularan, known as Jacques Deval (1890-1972)

French playwright, screenwriter and film director. He is, among others, the father of the writer Gérard de Villiers.
