Peron was the subject of the musical Evita by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, which was later adapted into a film starring Madonna in the title role. An excellent vintage signed and inscribed 3 x 5 postcard photograph of Evita in a head and shoulders pose. Signed in bold black fountain pen ink to a clear area of the image with a rare and desirable form of her signature ( 'Evita Duarte' ) and dated 1939 in her hand. Matted in a pale mottled grey above a brief printed biography and framed and glazed to an overall size of 7.5 x 12. VG   At the time of signing the present photograph Evita Duarte, the future wife of Juan Peron, was employed as an actress, starring in popular historical radio dramas portraying Queen Elizabeth I, Sarah Bernhardt and Alexandra Feodorovna, the last Tsarina of Russia.
