Rousseau writes a short text, being related to the history of women, stating in part ` Le Roy Jean confirma en 1353 des lettres du Duc de Bourgogne et Comte d´Artois et de Jeanne de France sa f [emme] portant des privileges pour la ville de Bethune, par lesquelles lettres la Duchesse autorisée par le Duc son epoux..´ “(King Jean confirmed in 1353 the letters from the Duke of Burgundy and Count of Artois and Jeanne de France his wife bearing privileges for the town of Bethune, by which letters the Duchess was authorized by the Duke her husband..”) Also annotated to the upper left border by Rousseau ` Ordon [nance]: des R. [ois] de Fr [ance]: - T. [ome] 4 - p .[age] 146.´, referring to the work his writing relates to. Small overall minor age wear, with right and bottom edges irregularly trimmed and small creasing, otherwise G   The present text corresponds to Rousseau´s work about the history of women, written between 1745 and 1751 for his benefactress Mrs Louise Marie Madeleine Dupin, and which would never be published.   Rousseau´s text refers to John II (1319-1364) also called John the Good, King of France.
