SHAW GEORGE BERNARD: (1856-1950) Irish playwright, Nobel Prize winner for Literature, 1925. A.L.S., G. Bernard Shaw, to the verso of a postcard photograph depicting Shaw in a head and shoulders pose, Whitehall Court, London, 18th May 1928, to Mrs. Clarke. Shaw enquires 'Can you tell me where Ada is? I want to send her a book; and 53 Waterloo Road is the only permanent address I can find', and in a postscript further adds 'To telephone, ring up Victoria 3160 and ask to be put through to my flat'.
