Balthus states 'Je prends bonne note du voyage du groupe de l'Association France-Italie au debut d'octobre prochain pour visiter les souvenirs napoleoniens dans la peninsule' (Translation: 'I take good note of the trip by the group from the France-Italy Association at the beginning of next October to visit the Napoleonic mementos in the peninsula' ) and further remarks 'La Villa sera bien entendu ouverte a vos amis au moment qui vous conviendra' (Translation: 'The Villa will of course be open to your friends at a time that suits you' ). Some very minimal age wear, VG Gaston Palewski (1901-1984) French politician, a close associate of Charles de Gaulle.
