The partially printed document, bearing the text “Choudens, Music editor” to the left border, fully written and dated in Mendes´ hand is a receipt, stating that he has received the amount of ` Three hundred and seventy five francs, for the first thirty of the Docteur Blanc... ´ With a stamp affixed to the right border. Creasing and area of paper loss to the right edge and upper corner, not affecting the text or signature. F to G Le Docteur Blanc (1893) was a Fantastic pantomime with music by Mendes, published by Choudens.
