SINATRA FRANK: (1915-1998) - SINATRA FRANK: (1915-1998) American singer and actor, Academy Award winner for Best Supporting Actor in 1953 for his role as Private Angelo Maggio in From Here to Eternity. A good vintage signed 8 x 10 photograph of Sinatra seated in a three-quarter length pose behind a drum set, in costume as Frankie Machine in a scene from The Man with the Golden Arm (1955). Signed (' Frank Sinatra ') in bold blue fountain pen ink with his name alone across a clear area of the image. Sinatra was nominated for a Best Actor Academy Award for his role in this film. Some extremely minor, very light smudging to the first two letters of the signature. VG Provenance: The present photograph originates from the collection of Pierre Goulliard, a French gentleman who, for over 50 years, dedicated himself to obtaining in person autographs of British, American and European movie stars, always obtaining the signatures in fountain pen ink.
