LE CARRE JOHN: (1931-2020) British author of espionage novels. T.L.S., John Le Carre, one page, 4to, Cornwall (although with the London address of his literary agents to the head), 14th April 2011, to Gerard Leman. Le Carre thanks his correspondent for their kind words and remarks 'I am very happy to hear that Our Kind of Traitor is being well received in France, a country whose opinion in matters of culture I greatly cherish', further adding 'I am in Cornwall at present, deeply engaged in a new book, and I have never enjoyed writing more'. Accompanied by an envelope hand addressed by Le Carre to Gerard Leman in France (although not the envelope that orginally accompanied the present letter). VG, 2
