LUMIERE LOUIS: (1864-1948) French Pioneer Filmmaker, along with his brother Auguste. T.L.S., Louis Lumiere, one page, Bandol, Var, 5th June 1943, on his Villa Lumen personal printed stationery, to Monsieur Raymond Langlois, "President de la Société d´Encouragement au Progres" ("President of the Society for the Encouragement of Progress"), in French. Lumiere thanks his correspondent, for his letter which he has received and for the documents attached, and states in part ` Je me permets, toutefois, une remarque: C´est que dans le projet que contenaient les papiers reçus, je vois figurer encore Monsieur l´Abbé COLIN, de l´Académie des Sciences or, le Chanoine est mort il y a quelques mois.
