PICKFORD & FAIRBANKS - PICKFORD MARY: (1892-1979) Canadian-American actress, Academy Award winner & FAIRBANKS DOUGLAS (1883-1939) American actor, husband of Mary Pickford from 1920-36. A good pair of vintage signed 6 x 8.5 photographs by Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks individually, the oval images depicting the actors in head and shoulders poses. Signed by each in fountain pen inks, largely across clear areas at the base of the images, Fairbanks also adding the date 1926 in his hand beneath his signature. A few very minor surface creases and a couple of light scuffs to the images, about VG, 2 Provenance: The present photographs originate from the collection of Carlo Giovetti (1916-1999) Italian journalist in the film and entertainment sector who worked for various newspapers including Il Giorno.
