Charles III acknowledges receipt of his correspondent´s letter ´par laquelle Votre Altesse Serenissime veut bien m´annoncer que Son Altesse Serenissime Madame la Princesse Regnante de Reuss, Ida-Mathilde-Adelaide nee Princesse de Schaumburg-Lippe Son epouse bien aimee a donne le jour, le 17 du meme mois, a une Princesse qui recevra sur les fonts de bapteme les noms de Emma-Caroline-Hermine-Marie´ (Translation: ´by which Your Serene Highness wishes to inform me that Her Serene Highness the Princess Regnant of Reuss, Ida-Mathilde-Adelaide nee Princesse de Schaumburg-Lippe, His beloved wife, gave birth, on the 17th of the same month, to a Princess who will be baptised Emma-Caroline-Hermine-Marie´, and continues to send ´mes sinceres felicitations a l´occasion de cet heureux evenement auquel l´interet que je porte a tout ce qui touche Votre Altesse Serrenissime me fait prendre une vive part´ (Translation: ´my sincere congratulations on the occasion of this happy event, in which my interest in everything that concerns Your Serene Highness leads me to take a lively part´), and in concluding also offers his best wishes for the happiness of the new-born Princess. Heinrich XXII (1846-1902) Prince Reuss of Greiz, the reigning sovereign of Reuss-Greiz, a small principality of the German states, from 1859-1902. His wife, Princess Ida of Schaumburg-Lippe (1852-1891) had given birth to their second child, Princess Emma (1881-1961) on 17th January 1881. Princess Emma would later become Countess von Ehrenburg by her marriage, in 1903, to Count Erick Kunigl von Ehrenburg (1880-1930).
