BIRA OF SIAM: (1914-1985) Prince Birabongse Bhanudej Bhanubandh. Thai motor racing driver who competed in Formula One from 1950-54, and was a member of the Thai royal family. T.L.S. , B. The Prince complies with his correspondent´s request and forwards a signed photograph (no longer present) and continues to remark ´As you know I drive an E.R.A. [English Racing Automobiles] car which I own privately. This firm has done much for English Motor Racing and deserves help from all enthusiasts. The firm published a book, "History of the E.R.A.", the proceeds from the sale of which goes to help in the building of E.R.A. cars. This book should be bought by all who love Motor racing.´.
