Official Postcard from the Rebbe of Bolekhiv
Letter in Yiddish from Rabbi Shlomo Chaim Perlov, the Rebbe of Bolekhiv, to hi sdaughter and son-in-law. After 1924. Mentioned in the letter is one of the the Rebbes of Biala of those days together with additional names.
Rabbi Shlomo Chaim Perlov (1880-1943), the son of the Rabbi Ya'akov, the Rebbe of Novominsk and the son-in-law of Rabbi Yehoshua Heschel Padova, rabbinical judge of Bolichov (Galicia). A great genius and the author of many books on Halacha and Hasidism. At the age of twelve, he already corresponded with the greatest rabbis of the time on halachic issues. Since 1904, he replaced his father-in-law as the Rebbe of bolichov and founded an important yeshiva there. He perished in the Holocaust.
Size: a postcard (with a printed logo) 15X10.5 cm, written on both sides (about 33 lines) in his handwriting and with his signature.
Condition: Good-Fair. Wear and tear, slightly torn at the fold. The postage stamp has been torn off.
