Edition printed in the lifetime of the author, the Baal HaTanya. Several editions of this composition were printed in the Rebbe's lifetime, yet most did not survive, and of some only one copy is extant.
[1], 2-27, [1] leaves. 17 cm. Fair condition. Stains (including dark stains) and wear. Worming, affecting text, repaired with paper. Tears to title page and other leaves, including open tears affecting text, repaired with paper. Leaves trimmed, with damage to headings in several places. Stamps (one of the stamps on the title page is deleted with ink, affecting text). Handwritten inscriptions. New leather binding.
