Esther Scroll – Balkans, 18th Century
Esther scroll on wooden roller. [Balkans, second half of the 18th century].
Ink on parchment. Sephardic script, typical of the Balkans. Approximately 18 lines per column. Carved wooden roller.
Height of parchment: approx. 12 cm. Height of roller: 31 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains. Tears to first membrane. Ink faded in several places. Damage to wooden roller.
