This edition is based on the 1864 Stettin edition. Volume I includes forewords and approbations by the author's sons, Rabbi Dov Ber the Mitteler Rebbe of Lubavitch, and Rabbi Chaim Avraham.

Small format. Approx. 15 cm. Good condition. Stains and wear. Fragile paper. Tears and open tears to several leaves, slightly affecting text, some restored with paper. Paper pasted to verso of title page of vol. I. Vol. III: title page partly detached; margins trimmed, with slight damage to headings; few unopened gatherings. New matching bindings.
