Photo Album – "Ayanot" – Training Farm for Women Workers, 1930s
An album consisting of 73 photos portraying daily life in "Ayanot" training farm for women workers. The album belonged to Doreen Guinsberg. Ca. 1932. Titled in English.
The farm was founded next to Nes Ziona in 1930. Its aim was to train girls for agricultural work and for settling in the country.
The photos portray the stages of constructing the central building which was completed in 1932. Work in the orange grove, the guard, vegetable garden, field work, and life in the village.
Average size of photos: 6X9 cm, album: 17X23.5 cm. Overall good condition.
