New England Queen Anne Maple Highboy
A New England Queen Anne Maple Highboy, Second Quarter 18th Century. The upper section with molded cornice and five graduated long drawers above a lower section fitted with one long over three short drawers and shaped skirt below, raised on cabriole legs terminating in a pad foot with tall shoe.
Dimensions: Height 75 1/2in; width 39 1/4in; depth 19 1/2in.
Condition:
Structurally sound. In an overall refinished condition. Typical age cracks and shrinkage. The long drawer second from the top with triangular patch to one corner. The three short drawers have central drilled holes to drawer fronts, now covered by brasses. Period brasses. Most hardware missing nuts. One screw for pull lacking, bail handle retained. No keys.
