Seven Pieces of Sumida Gawa Pottery
All with drip glaze and figures in high relief and various forms, comprising: a lid with a man and an Oni holding a scroll, a bird form candle stick holder, a vase with two figures marked for Ban-ni, a small bowl with a figure on the rim signed at the bottom, a sculptural piece with figures at the top and sides signed at the bottom, a small vase marked for Ban-ni, and a small teapot with two frogs signed by Ban-ni.
Dimensions: Diameters range from 3 1/2" to 6 1/2", the heights range from 1 3/4" to 8 1/2"
Provenance: Property from a Local Collection.
Condition:
The teapot has a small chip to the outside rim and no handle, the scroll held by the Oni is detached, and the are some missing elements to the larger vase, otherwise good condition with minor expected surface wear.
