His collection reflects his interest in the Delaware Valley, with an emphasis on mid 18th through early 19th century silversmiths and figured hardwoods vetted by his discerning eye for form and surface. Among the highlights are a Thomas Stretch Philadelphia clock, a collection of figured maple furniture, and silver by noted makers such as Joseph Richardson Sr. and Richard Humphreys.

A Sheraton Birdseye Maple Four Post Bed, Second Quarter 19th Century. In four parts, the highly figured paneled headboard and footboard with scrolled ears and applied roundels. The turned tapered posts with mushroom tops.
Dimensions: Height 49 1/2in; width 48in; length 84 3/4in.
Provenance: Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey.
Condition:
Structurally sound. Retaining an old surface. Shrinkage and age cracks to the headboard and footboard, otherwise honest condition. Typical nicks, abrasions and small losses. Lacking one carved applied roundel.
