Sefer Breishit—Limmudei Hashem with the author’s dedication. Budapest, 1927.
By Rabbi Yonatan Shteif (1877-1958), a student of the Shevet Sofer of Pressburg, a dayan and motz of the Budapest community and a great posek of the United States after WWII—where he was saved in the Kasztner train. Rav Moshe Feinstein appreciated him greatly and testified that he was one of the generation’s sages. The book was printed with endorsements from the generation’s sages, the Minchat Elazar of Munkatch, the Da’at Sofer of Pressburg, and others who write wonderful descriptions. The book is divided into two sections, each has a separate cover. The first section of the book is on Chapter 1 of Genesis, the second section is from Chapter 2 until the end of Parshat Noach. With dedication of the author on the cover page of the second section. [16], 570 pages. 22cm. Generally very good condition.
