Wood, gesso, tempera, gold leaf. Shallow cut-back centre portion of the icon panel, back strips of wood on the back of an icon. The back is painted over Dimensions 22 х 27.

     The icon represents a family iconostasis with patron saints arranged in separate marginal scenes in two rows. On such icons a host of helping, protective saints was gathered, which could not better reflect the needs and requirements of the faithful people living in a particular family and was dictated exclusively by the customer of the icon. The multi-figured composition of several life-size figures of saints faces a single center - Vladimirskaya icon of the Mother of God. The characters are united not only by their attraction to this center, but also by a single coloristic solution. On the whole, the icon looks smart and festive.

     Guardian-Angel and the Archangel Michael are depicted in separate marginal scenes of upper row. In the bottom row from left to right: Blessed Sergius of Radonezh, holy martyrs Samonas, Gurias, Abibus (on center) and martyress Irene.

     Preservation: due to slight warping of the panel, rear embedded strips of wood on the back of an icon came out of the groove a little bit.
